Show PROHIBITION The tendency which has developed in the past few years to belittle all liquor laws and regulations, has become be-come so strong and bold in cities like Chicago and other small towns, that it practically amounts to anarchy. Soon that non-law abiding element will hace reached the point where all good citizens will unite in an effort to enforce all liquor laws so strictly that those who are in favor of a lax enforcement will find that this country coun-try is so dry that water will be needed need-ed to prime your fire hydrants. If any of you irood friends are laboring under the impression that a majority of the people of the country coun-try is in favor of the repeal of the Eighteenth Amendment you might as well be undeceived, as if ever a vote is taken on that question the Amendment Amend-ment will win by a substantial mar-' mar-' gin. |
