Show Air Mail Bid Meets Protest ' Washington Delay In making an award for private operation of the eastern section of the transcontinental airmail service between New York and Chicago was Indicated as a result of an order by Postmaster General New for an Investigation into all bids submitted submit-ted for that service. An informal Inquiry In-quiry had been under way into reports that Carl F. Egge, superintendent of the eastern division of the government airmail lines; Shirley J.
