A week of heavy, enthusiastic aim clever campaigning culminated yesterday yes-terday in an assembly in which campaign cam-paign speeches were intermingled with vaudeville entertainment. The liberals stole the thunder of the Progressive Pro-gressive party by having speeches by the progressives during the time allotted al-lotted to the Liberal party, but the Progressives retaliated toy utilizing the entire time of balloting for yells conducted by their candidates for yell master, Messrs Turley and Schow Such a surplus of enthusiasm was produced that the high school students stu-dents joined with the grades in a parade, pa-rade, advertising the Chautauqua, singing their songs and giving their j yells on the way. During the parade the judges of election and registration, registra-tion, Mesdames Wright and Heaton. and Miss Beryl Young, recorded tnu results of election which gave the progressive party a majority for all offices with the exception of treasurer, treasur-er, which Mr. Cottrell, of the Liberal party, won. Now that the election is over thu students have already dropped party spirit and are uniting whole hearted-ly hearted-ly in support of this year's motto. "All for one, one for all, and All for Milford high school." |
