Show v A DUTY RESTS WITH THE PUBLISHERS The subject of taxation has a more direct bearing on every industry, than any O'hor public question. The duly of arousing the people to the necessity of reducing the growing overhead cost of government rests wit hthe publishers of the country. If they fail in this task the day will come, as it did before the French Revolution, Re-volution, when taxes will be collected collect-ed through official seizure of property proper-ty to meet payments required. Continued Con-tinued excessive taxation is the surest sur-est method yet devised for wrecking any form of government. Now is the time to prevent, undermining the stability of our country which will result from top-heavy tax burdens. W. P. Epperson, president of the Utah State Press association, at recent re-cent semiannual convention of the association at Richfield, Utah, commented com-mented fearlessly on the tax situation situa-tion in Utah and other western states He cast no accusition hut discussed a condition as it ex'sts and said that through the newspapers lay the only hope of. the people for relief.
