Inst week, returned Friday, well pleased with the reception given giv-en by the Callfornians. Mr. Woodbury says that Southern California is growing so fast that it must seek new sources from which to derive food stuffs for Its rapidly ncreasing population and raw materials ma-terials for its enlarged manufacturing manufactur-ing districts. He said that Governor Mabey impressed upon his hearers the fact that Utah could provide, in a large measure, their wants; that it was ready and willing to do so; but that Utah needed and must have people and capital and that she was appealing to California for a closer affiliation for their mutual benefit. |
