The protests come from highway engineers, dairy farmers, fruit and, 'vegetable growers, grain belt shipier, all lines of indu try and commerce and j other operators of motortrucks and their patrons. Tbey say Increased license fees and restrictive legislation have been ef fected wiihnui suliicient investigation and without conclusive evidence. A 'sensible solution is being worked out by ihe state of Illinois. The state highway department has under construction con-struction an experimental road containing con-taining 64 test sections each section differing from the others in design. |
