The national commander's letter, in lart, follows : "I am touched beyond expression hat these comrades of ours have seen .it to associate themsleves together In affiliation with the great American Legion for the purpose of realizing more fully those Ideals for which they fought. It is an Inspiration to know that, scarred and maimed to an extent ex-tent which would lead many to feel that to them there would be no further fur-ther obligation to give to the world, but rather to live and receive, they still feel a desire to give something further of service to their country and community. This Is Indeed true nobility." |
