Show Banquet Held in Honor of Al Cline Last Friday night in the Milfora Hotel private dining room, a number of the friends of Al Cline, who had just made a step in the right direction, direc-tion, gave a little dinner in his honor. hon-or. It was a warm affair. Jo. Murdoek in a f;w short sentences, introduced C. R. Parrish as toastmaster, and the fun began. Each of the guests present pres-ent took a shot at the groom, who sat at one end of the table and took the advice offered in all seriousness. Sam Cline. brother of the groom, the only batchelor present at the table, ta-ble, got a large share of advice, some of which he will undoubtedly follow within the next twenty years. The gem of the evening was tho little lecture given by Judge Nichols, who had performed the wedding ceremony cer-emony the nigh tbefore. The Judge's lecture was In substance sub-stance as follows. Read it carefully. While it was addressed to the groom it is good advice for some for all of the rest of us. "Rules of Conduct for NewlVweds, for the Benefit of the groom. "Never swear before your wife let her swear first. Never laugh at your wife laugh with her. When anyone at the front tlloor inquires, in-quires, 'who is the boss here' never say 'me' unless you are certain that the wife is out of earshot. Never argue with the wife a9 to where you will spend your vacation -she will have her way anyhow. Always remember that for a mr. rled man an alabl is something that your wife never believes, and don't waste breath on one. Always refer to things In tho house as "ours" not Mine. Always remember what is yours is your wife'si (Including the family exchequer and what Is your wife's is hers. Never forgot the wife's birthday or she may acuse you of God' knows what. And remember that a good cook must have a good provider. If you have to tell her a lie, stick to it and tell her that is your story and you are going to stay with it. Remember the above are duties . hieh must always bo attendod to."
