Show IT. OF U. NEWS BUREAU An appeal for the people of Utah to keep Utah relics within the state is being made by Prof. Andrew A. Kerr, of the archaeoligical department depart-ment of the University of Utah. Many extremely valuable remains of Indians and of t.he ancient Cliff Dwellers and Mound Builders of Utah Ut-ah have been sent as far away as the Atlantic coast. Baskets and pottery used by the cave men in various parts of the state more than fifteen hundred years ago, are now on display in the State museum at the University, together to-gether with hundreds of other archaeological arch-aeological relics. This museum is open to the public and is also being used by University students in tihe study of archaeology. , Every person throughout the s ale should take pride in having the bst Utah archaeological exhibit right here in the state. The only way that, this can be done is to have everyone ev-eryone making finds report them to the Slate University. Ramains of ancient, men found in the southern part of this continent are now in Mexico City. The University Uni-versity of Utah has been offered pnrt of this collection which is to be placed in the Utah State Museum. A |
