Show LOCALS and PERSONALS C. F. Decker and Edw. Markshef-fel Markshef-fel have bought 160' acres in the pumping district. Mr. and Mrs. Wimmer Banks visited vis-ited in Beaver the past week. The Trail Builders and Sea Gull girls and guardians went to the willows wil-lows on a picnic Wednesday. The Quail family are moving into the house vacated by Joe Kinuey and family. Mrs. W. H. Henderickson and daughters will leave the last of the week for Mateo. Calif., to visit her mother. Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Turner and Mrs. C. H. Turner from Denver, Colo., were the guests of Mrs. Scott i Turner and Mrs. .M. P. Lewis h.st Saturday and Sunday. They wore enroute to California, where they will make their future home. Mrs. Minnie McKeon and family left Tuesday for Provo to make their home. Mr. McKeon was recently transferred there from Caliente. Mrs. E. F. Sherwood and family will leave about June 1st for C--1 i-ente, i-ente, Nev., to make their home. Sherwood has been working there for some little time. Mrs. Joe Triboli and children will leave this week for eastern points to visit relatives. Mrs. W. F. Cottrell has been quite ill the past week. Mrs. W. L. Howell left Tuesday on No. 1 for Salt Lake, on business. .Mr. and .Mrs. Howell are taking over the Mi-Garry house, recently vacated by Mr. and .Mrs. Harry Ward. The house is io repainted, new lur-niturc lur-niturc in.-'taiici and convened into n I'irsi-class rooming house. It is expected tiie place will be ready for occupancy about June 1st. A tiam belonging to Baker Edwards Ed-wards became frightened Saturday afternoon, ran away and turned the wagon over, which was loaded with wood. Bill Fra.er, tiie small son of John Frazer, was scratched about the head and arms. During the week, Wm. Martin sold two Dodge sedans to C. P. Goody of Provo, transformer inspector inspec-tor for the Telluride, and R. A. Swallow of Shoshone, Nevada. S. M. Ueilley and W. C. Patterson, Patter-son, Ford motor representatives, are in town. Dorothy Murdock and Phyllis Levi went to Beaver to attend the commencement com-mencement exercises of the b it. S. Mr. A. Ballinger, Auditor 'or the Independent Gas & Oil Co., is in town, auditing the company s books. Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Smith tire moving into the house vacate' by Mr. and Mrs. Bailey. ' Mrs. Vic Johnson of Osdlck, Calif., is here visiting her father, Isaac Bozarth. A. B. Cline of Salt Lake City was in Milford Friday and Saturday looking over his business interests here. Friday he and Al Cline motored motor-ed to Beaver. Mrs. Elizabeth Bybe returned Saturday from Southern California, where she and little Miss Alice have been visiting relatives. E. H. Frazer and Mrs. Lora Olson, salesman and demonstrator for the Wesson Oil company, were in town Tuesday. Mr. Frazer demonstrated at the White Market and Mrs. Olson at Jefferson Merc. A great many took advantage of the splendid offer of-fer they were making. Mrs. L. B. Waddingham Bpent several sev-eral days the past week visiting her mother at Minersville. Mrs. Carlton and sou, Walter, were in town Saturday. Mrs. Carlton Carl-ton left on No. 26 the same day for Sail Lake as a delegate from Beaver to the Grand Lodge ot Utah 1. O. O. F. C. F. Dutton, postal inspector of Salt Lake, has been in town several days, inspecting ail the star route offices and Black Rock, as well as the local office. Al Cline spent Tuesday in Beaver looking after the Cline interests in that city. Mrs. C. A. Bailey and family left Monday, for Los Angeles to make their home. Mrs. Frederick of Salt Lake City has been visiting at the home of Mrs. W. H. Henderickson. During the week H. T. Hanks sold the Milford Hotel to Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Kramm of Modesto, Calif., who have had lots of experience in the hotel business and come well recommended. recom-mended. They have one daughter, Miss Eileen Kramm. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Ward and daughter, Alice, left this morning at 5 o'clock for Topeka, Kii;s., overland by way of Star route. Word was received from Mr. and Mrs. Harry Korns that they had arrived ar-rived safely, enjoyed their trip and Mr. Korns was to commence work on Monday last. Also they had seen Art Kinney at Newton, Kans., and he was looking in the very best of trim. i Fred Cottrell motored to Salt Lake for the alumni banquet at Westminster Westmin-ster college Wednesday evening at Ferry hall. Mr. Cottrell was elected president of the alumni association. He was accompanied to Salt Lake by Jack Hilliary and Roy Carlson and Lu Zene Jennings as far as Levan. Mrs. C. L. Ford returned this week from the state convention of the Service Star legion, held at Prnvo. She reports a wonderful time, and was instrumental in landing a state office for one of our Milford members. mem-bers. Mrs. Anna Greenshaw was elected as fourth vice-president. W. H. Pitt has returned from Los Angeles. Mrs. Pitt and daughter will be here next month. Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Garner of Delta, Del-ta, Colo., friends of Mrs. Geo. A. Atkin, stopped off at Milford on Monday, but found Mrs. Atkin had moved to California. John L. Ferris and family of Beaver were here Sunday. Mrs. Ferris Fer-ris and children are en route to the east on a visit. G. W. Robinson, Philip W. Baker, Jas. F. Robson and Robert Tilby of Baker, Nev., registered at Hotel Atkins At-kins Wednesday. J.
