Show DESERET N. HICKMAN Deseret N. Hickman, one of the first settlers of Milford was aceident-ly aceident-ly shot on his farm in Wayne county, Monday, January 13, 1919. He went out as usual to milk and discovered a coyote in the corral. Returning to the house, he took a 38 rifle and went out with the intention of shooting he animal. It is presumed that he set the gun down in the corner and it was accidently discharged, hitting him In the face which caused instant death. Mr. Hickman was buried in the Torrey cemetery Wednesday January Janu-ary 15, until spring, at which time the remains will be brought to Milford Mil-ford for final interment. He leaves a wife and seven children, viz: Joseph Jos-eph Hickman. County Superintendent of schools ( Wayne county); W. D. Hickman, Don F. Hickman, Mrs. Roy Fleering, all of Torrey, and Mrs. E. P. Pectol. wife of Bishop Pictol, or Torrey, Utah; and Mrs. Berley Kirk, wife of John Kirk of Milford, and Mrs. Vivian Arrington, wife of C. A. Arrington. of Milford. and one brother. broth-er. Joseph Hickman of Milford, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. , , |
