Show MIXING IX REAVER RANGE M. F. Schoenberger of Oasis. Utah, was a recent Salt Lake visitor. Mr. Schoenberger, associated with his father and brother, is mining in the Beaver range of mountains about fifteen miles northwest of Clear Lake -station on the Salt Lake Route. The three own a group of five claims in the locality mentioned, and these are located on what is believed to be the north extension of the Frisco mineral belt. The formation is quartzite and the main fissure has an easterly and westerly strike. The fissure is very strong, giving every evidence of continuity con-tinuity and permanency, while the surface croppings are excellent, the ore carrying gold, silver, copper and lead. The development of this promising ground is being pushed by means of a shaft, which has attained g. depth of ninety feet. Arrangements are being be-ing perfected for the installation of a gasoline hoist and when this is in place it is the intention to sink to the 300-foot level, and then to begin drifting on the vein. In the bottom of the 00-foot shaft free-gold has been found. At this depth the mineral min-eral indications' are most promising. Upon finding ore in paying quantities a company may be incorporated for further development and equipment purposes. Review. |
