Show THAT NEW SCHOOL BLDG. Work on the new Grammar school building was begun last Monday Mon-day morning, when a crew of men and teams began the work of es-cavating es-cavating for the foundation. The building is to be located about 100 feet north of the high! school building and will face the east. The plans call for a first-class up-to-date building 72 feet wide by 97 feet long and will be two stories high with a basement under a por-, tion of it. The basement will contain the boiler room and coal storage, besides be-sides the lavatories. The first floor will have the offices, of-fices, a large corridor, cloak rooms, drinking fountains and five large class rooms. On the second floor will be the usual halls, cloak rooms, drinking fountain and six class rooms. ' The building will be heated by the most approved methods. Mr. C. A. Talboe, of Provo, has the contract and he will push the work forward as rapidly as possible, so as to get as much done before winter sets in as he can. The building will be finished early ear-ly next spring. |
