Show "Fixing It" , According to information furnished the NEWS, James Howd, a resident of Beaver, has gotten "in bad" wilh th local State Bank. It is said that Howd called at the Milford bank about a week ago, presenting a $50 check, for which cash was requested. Cashier Street states that h asked Howd if the check was good and received an affirmative reply, when the check was cashed. Later, it is said, the check was returned as a "bum one, "and the bank officials obtained a warrant for the arrest of Howd, the warrant being sent to the Sheriff's office last Friday. Fri-day. Nothing was heard of any arrest until Wednesday, when the bank folks, wondering at the delay, called up the Sheriff s office and were informed thatno arrest had been made because Howd was trying to "fix things up."
