Show NADA NOTES A large crowd of the Nada people drove down to Sahara for Thanksgiving. Thanks-giving. Supper was served at 7 p. m. and the evening was spent in playing cards and games. Everybody danced 'till sunrise. Among those who went were: Jack Goff, Howard Dinwiddie, Mr. Jessie Stephenson and son and Leo McGuire. Mr. Chas. Roper went to Milford on business. He will return in a few days. Dewey McGinty is looking somewhat some-what better after an illness of several sev-eral weeks. V Mr. Couch and daughter Minnie made a call on Oscar Stephenson. Dr. C. A. Culmsee and son Carlton Carl-ton went to the station in their car to meet the passenger Wednesday in the evening to get the mall. George Myers soon will leave for aeJo, California. He has been here for several weeks. M;ss Inez Williamson who is now teaching school in Minersville, spent Thanksgiving with her sister, Mrs. J C. Jeffers. She returned to Minersville Min-ersville Sunday. The Eighth grade sewing class Party Monday afternoon at 4:30 p m. entertained the faculty. A jolly time was enjoyed by all. Delicious refreshments were served. Mr and Mrs. Mervin Edwards of the Montreal mine spent Thanksgiving Thanksgiv-ing and Friday with Mrs. Edwards mother of Mrs. Mary Clophier at Minersville. Miss Sara Keener, county superintendent, super-intendent, is making a tour of the outside county towns. Mondav she spent the day at Leeds, Wednesday at Frisco and will g0 to Nada Thursday. |
