Show COUNTY ROAD SUPERVISION' It does not matter much to the taxpayers of Beaver county as a whole, who may be appointed to tho position of Land Board commissioner, commission-er, or who may be on the Insurance commission, or who may be made a member of various other boards or commissions. But it does make a big difference as to the kind of a man who Is to be appointed Road Supervisor. Jim Robinson has made a good road man, and in some states we can name, there would be no move made to remove him. But here in Utah, the policy appears to be to remove all political opponents. That was the policy pursued four yetrs ago and u idouhmdly will be the policy pursue! neU January. Many kind wo.-'U have been spoken spok-en about Jim's work and many kind "lords do we hopi to speak about wbcever succeeds him Unfortunately, Jim is a Democart an active Democrat. Some of his friends went to him and told him to ,keep his hands off this year, and one In particular told him he would do all In his power to keep him on the Job. All to no avail So, even now. much as we regret it, it looks as if he would have to go and a man must be had who knows the county, knows the soils, knows where gravel and sand are located, or can be found a man who can see the whole county and see its needs from Puffer's lake to Frisco, and from Minersville to Morrissey. A man who has good Judgment and Is not afraid to work, and will stand for no favorism. Such a man we believe James L. Griffiths of Beaver county to be, and without fear of failure, we endorse en-dorse him as the best man to succeed Jim Robinson. |
