Show WOOD FINDS FRIEND IN THREE "BUDDIES" Chicago, March. Three former serv Ice men saw a "buddy" in distress at New Haven, Conn., a few nights ago and like nil former service men immediately im-mediately came to the rescue. The rescued one was none other mini -i;ijui- uenerai ieonaru vuinu, who was traveling from New York to Boston. A roaring blizzard from tlie sea had delayed the train for more than eighteen hours. There was no (lining car attached and the station restaurant at New Haven was attacked attack-ed by a cold half-famished mob. In the mad crush many were left in the rea r. The three former service men were fortunate. They had braved many u "chow" rush ami knew just what to do. They elbowed their way to tlie front and were fortunate enough to get a table to themselves. Then one of them spied their "buddy." got holJ of his uniform and piloted him to their table. Three chairs were piled together to-gether so that four could sit down. One man took a fried egg from his plate and put it on that of the visitor. The second man added two slices of bacon fnun his plate and the third gave mi a mil and butter.
