Show NADA NEWS The Colonial husking bee given at Culmsee hall Saturday night was very successful. A large number of those present wore clever and realistic real-istic imitations of the costumes of our colonial forefathers. There were many red ears, but the boys were hampered somewhat by the fact that they were allowed to kiss the J same girl only twice. After the corn-husking, the guests danced modern as well as old fashioned fash-ioned dances until a late hour. A feature of the refreshments was a very large and delicious pink and white birthday cake, made in honor of C. F. Culmsee. Coffee and sandwiches sand-wiches were also served. Howard Dlnwiddie went to ford on business Wednesday evening. even-ing. He returned the next day. Ray McGinty came up from Cali-ente Cali-ente last week, bringing some parts for his brother's auto. Mrs. Ella Wix rode on horseback to Lund Tuesday and returned the same day. She went t. Lund for a horse that Mr. Wix had purchased but owing to some mistake on the owner's part, the animal was not there and she returned without it. Clyde Goff came back to his home here from Imperial Valley last week. Loten Kesler is arranging to move to Milford. I Bertha and Irene Kesler came here on the local Saturday morning to attend the husking-bee. Mr. Kesler Kes-ler brought them back to Milford on Monday. Mr. and Mrs. R. R. McGinty went to Minersville Saturday. Mr. Lily Smith motored to Cedar i to have medical attention given her I Da 'i |
