Resa Bonhour's "Horse Fair" "The Holland Garden Scene" and Cord's "Dance of the Nymphs" Three well known pictures by the great French artist, Millet, in sepia tones were also admired. Burne Jones' "The Golden Stairs" was commented upon. The pictures shown were all the finest reproductions from the original origi-nal of the great paintings, and wor-( thy of careful study. The Elementary schoof has not, as yet, chosen the picture for the new building, but hope to have sufficient funds, after the expenses are paid, to purchase one of the largest and most beautiful pictures in the collection. col-lection. These loan exhibits are given for the benefit of picture funds in public pub-lic schools all over the country and are considered an event by art loving lov-ing people everywhere. |
