Show TWO PIONEERS PASS ON TO THEIRREWARD MR. BINGHAM OF MINERSVILLE AND DAN FERGUSON OF MILFORD The people of Minersville suffered a sad shock in the sudden death of a pioneer citizen, Florentine Bingham, Bing-ham, w,ho passed away last Saturday Satur-day night as the result of a fall from his horse on the previous Friday. Fri-day. The community will feel his loss deeply as he has been an active and useful citizen of the town for many years, having made it his home for fifty-seven years. During that time he has taken an especial interest inter-est in the social betterment of the town, where his cheerful help will be greatly missed. Mr. Bingham, who was 62 years of age, is survived by five sisters, two brothersr the widow and twelve children: Mrs. George Ballanger, of Ogden, Mrs. Bert Buchanan and Mrs. Paul Jennings, of Frisco, Mrs. John Ferguson, of Milford, Mrs. Winnie Roberts and the Misses Crystal, Ruth, Jean and Jewel Bingham, of Minersville Miners-ville and the sons, Leonard, Woodly and Florentine Bingham who also live in Minersville. ' The funeral service was held on Monday at the L. D. S. Meeting House, where the town joined in an impressive service, paying the last respects to an honored neighbor and friend. Dan Heber Ferguson, a long-time resident of Milford, passed to his reward re-ward Tuesday, February 20, 1917, at 3:35 a. m. He was 59 years old last September. Mr. Ferguson was a well known and a well liked citizen. At the last election he was elected to the office of justice of the peace, but owing to failing health refused to qualify. He has been a worker in the mines of this county and was recently superintendent super-intendent of the Creole property. The deceased left a widow, three sons and three daughters who were at his bedside at the time of his death. The funeral will be held from the L. D. S. church this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock and Bishop Burns will conduct the services. |
