Show THE FOLLOWING LETTER IS SELF EXPLANATORY Mr. E. B. Jorgensen, Milford Utah. My dear Mr. Jorgensen: Having been appointed County Chairman of the National Home Service Ser-vice Campaign for the American Salvation Sal-vation Army, it is necessary that I call to my assistance live wires in the various municipal sub-divisions in order that this matter may receive re-ceive the attention which its importance im-portance merits. I j.nis is to advise you that you have been appointed Chairman of Milford for this drive and the amount allot-ed allot-ed will be 27 per cent of the $800, ap portioned to this county, or $240. The object of this drive in the Stat of Utah is to build a home for the Salvation Army in Salt Lake City. I would recommend that you enlist as many of the returned soldiers, sailors and marines as assistants as possible. I know of no more worthy cause andn there certanly was no organization organi-zation during the war which render ed more effective service to our boys in the'field. The American Salvation Army was always found in the first line trenches amid greatest dangers rendering first aid. They have merited mer-ited our confidence and I trust we will do our duty as willingly as they did theirs. Kindly appoint as large a committee as you think necessary to put this over between the 16th and .23rd. I shall be pleased to render any assistance possible. Trusting that you will accept this responsibility and succeed in raising rais-ing an over-subscription of your quota.
