Show BUSINESS MEN DISCUSS ROADS Twenty-six men sat down at the business men's luncheon at the At-kin At-kin Cafe promptly at 12 o'clock and three came later it cost them 10c each for being late. They were Sloan Hauks and Arrington. The fact that there were visitors present caused the roughs to be just a little mild in the character of their remarks. The guests were, H. Doo-little Doo-little of Lund, who stopped over here to get a square meal and Mr. A. F. Parker, who is an engineer and will try to show the town dads how to get water in a dry town, and Jos. R. Mur rock Jr. who says he would be benefitted bene-fitted by a road to the Beaver Bottoms. Bot-toms. Each of the guests were incited in-cited to tell all their troubles and each was limited to one minute and they used it. The fact that Standard Oil Adams has been promoted to a larger salary sal-ary and transferred to Salt Lake was given as the cause of the recent raise in the price of gasoline. Long Talker Sloan explained to the diners the roads which it was proposed to improve im-prove with a county bond issue, and explained that besides the roads mentioned men-tioned last week i. e., Millard County through Beaver to Iron County and the' road from Puffer Lake toward Garrison through Milford, other roads might be suggested, and on the suggestion sug-gestion of hungry Arrington, the county commissioners will be reques ed to include $15,000 or some other sum in the bond issue to be used on the road in to Greenville and out to the state highway, and on the Beaver Bea-ver Bottoms road. Baxter and -Marksheflel had some pointed remarks to make in regard to the slow improvement in our sidewalk side-walk situation. Mark, as mayor of the town, said that the town board could not force side walks upon the people, but that if those who really wanted side walks would get the petitions pe-titions out and have them properly signed, the board would go ahead. Baxter suggested changing the rules rul-es and Ragged Vest Carlton moved that the subject be reopened to the rules committee (Carlton is chairman chair-man of the rules committee) with instructions in-structions to report in the sweet by-and by-and by. On. motion an invitation was extended ex-tended to the Minersville chamber of commerce to attend our next lunch, lun-ch, to be held at 12 o'clock sharp, noon, at the Milford, Hotel, Thursday Thurs-day March 25th, at which time the subject for discussion will be "Is Punkin iTown a better name than Minersville. George Marshal Jr. will take the affirmative and Prof. W. T. Morris the negative. All hungry business men will report re-port their name to Carlton or Jor-gensen. Jor-gensen.
