Show Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Richards are the proud parents of a new daughter, daugh-ter, born at 1 a. m. Tuesday, June 4, in Beaver. The little miss weighed 7 lbs., 2 ounces. Mrs. C. F. Cate and son George, of El Paso, Texas, and Mrs. W. J. Skeldon and daughter Nancy, of Holbrook, Ariz., have been visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Lang. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Cowdell, of Los Angeles, spent Sunday with the James Lang family. Mr. and Mrs. O. C. Koch have been visiting their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd B. Hansen, of Richfield. They returned re-turned Monday afternoon. While in Richfield, they were surprised by a visit from their daughter, Rozetta, of Salt Lake City, who plans to visit her parents in Milford Mil-ford this week. Mrs. Gus Fotheringham and son Dean motored to Holden to spend Memorial Day and to attend a Homecoming Celebration. They returned to Milford on Saturday. Rev. and Mrs. Donald Blackstock left Monday for Salt Lake City to make their home. Rev. Blackstock has been the Methodist pastor in Milford. As yet, no replacement for the well-liked minister has been announced. Wallace D. Fotheringham, F 1c, was discharged at the Shoemaker, Calif., naval separation center on My 22, and arrived at home on Saturday. He enlisted in the navy in July, 1942, and is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Fotheringham. He is authorized to wear the American Amer-ican theater ribbon, the South Pacific Pa-cific and Philippine Liberation campaign ribbons, with four battle stars, and the Victory ribbon. Mr. Fotheringham saw action in the invasions in-vasions of Guam, Palau, and the Philippines. Wallace and Farrell Fotheringham Fothering-ham are visiting in Salt Lake City and Pleasant Grove. Rue Neilsen left Thursday evening eve-ning for Salt Lake City, to attend a postmasters' convention scheduled sched-uled for the latter part of the week. Attorney and Mrs. Sam Cline returned from Salt Lake City on Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. Cline had enjoyed a month's visit in Normandy, Mo with her daughter Marie, and family, Mr. and Mrs. M. Dell Madsen and small daughters, daugh-ters, Denise and Christine. Mr. and Mrs. Ray H. Mills and daughters Linda and Melody were Milford visitors the early part of the week, enjoying a fishing trip while here. Roy was elated to re- turn home with a nice four-pound, 20-inch rainbow trout he caught trolling in the Minersville reservoir. reser-voir. They were visitors, along with Buzz Hedrick, of Mr. and Mrs. F. L. Osborn. Mr. and Mrs. O. W. Evans and daughters LaRae and Patsy, and son LaMar, spent a week in Salt Lake City, attending the funeral of Mr. Evans' mother, Mrs. John S. Evans, who died in Salt Lake City on May 28. Mrs. Willis Rogers and Mrs. Bell Frazer and families left Wednesday Wednes-day for their homes in Nevada after spending the past week with home folks and friends in Milford and Minersville. Mrs. Rogers and Mrs. Frazer are daughters of Mr. Henry Gillins of Milford. : . . - - ---- Mrs. F. L. Osborn and Mrs. Roy White Sr. attended the county D. U. P. meeting in Beaver last Saturday Sat-urday afternoon. They are first and second county vice-presidents, respectively. On Tuesday of last week Mr. and Mrs. F. L. Osborn and Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Grimshaw accompanied Attorney Sam Cline to Delta, where Mr. Cline attended to legal business. The other members of the party continued to Lynndyl, and spent the day with the Ray Mills family. Mr and Mrs. C. R. Grimshaw, and son Russell; Mr. and Mrs F. L Osborn, Mr. and Mrs. Alton Smith motored to Beaver on Decoration Dec-oration Day. After caring for family fam-ily graves and viewing the beautiful beauti-ful flower-decked Beaver cemetery ceme-tery the party met at the J. Dern Osborn home where they enjoyed a delicious buffet luncheon. Mrs Patricia Williams spent the early part of the week visiting in Salt Lake City. Mrs I. N. Nolder of Minersville returned to her home on Wednesday Wednes-day after a three-day visit at the home of Mr. and Mrs. S. A. Wil-Hams. Wil-Hams. Mr J. C. Diliberto, Louis Val-dor Val-dor a(Hardrock Louie) and Albert Valdora, officials of the Golden Reef Mining Company, all residents resi-dents of Los Angeles, are in Milford Mil-ford enjoying the fishing and inspecting in-specting the workings at the mine. The Cozy Clover Club held its first Mother and Daughter breakfast break-fast on Wednesday, May 29, at the home of Irene Griffiths. A delicious deli-cious breakfast was cooked and served by the girls of the club. Maurice K. Williams, S 1c, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Williams, with his new bride, the former Miss Vivian Swonley of Missouri, daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Wolf, are visiting Mr. Williams' parents in Milford. Maurice has been in the service for three years, seeing action ac-tion at Guam. Siapan, Iwo Jima, Ulitha and Japan. |
