Show YET INSURANCE REINSTATEMENT IS MADE EASY A new Veterans Administration decision further liberalizing veterans' veter-ans' insurance was announced this week at the Salt Lake Regional office by Ab M. Tatum, Insurance officer. According to the new rul ing, it will be possible for veterans veter-ans to reinstate lapsed policies by merely filing a health statement state-ment and paying only two monthly premiums. It will be unnecessary for any veteran to make up any of the back premiums owing. The new ruling applies to all term policies without regard to length of lapse, and eliminates the red tape of physical examinations heretofore required. The new plan is part of Gen. Omar Bradley's attempt to save insurance in-surance policies for as many veterans vet-erans as possible in view of the early widespread misconceptions which resulted in many veterans dropping their government policies. The waiver of the physical examination exam-ination provisions of reinstatement will be in effect only until the end of the current year. Mr. Tatum further pointed out that congress in the near future is expected to act as promised to further fur-ther liberalize the insurance by including in-cluding other types of policies and making all-cash settlements to beneficiaries in case of death. All veterans with insurance problems, prob-lems, especially those with policies lapsed for as long as two or three vears, are urged to visit a Veter ans Administration contact office somewhere in the state, or to write for reinstatement forms. |
