Show SOUTH JILFORD Mr. and Mrs. Carl Elmer were happily surprised Sunday when their son Don and his wife came for a visit of a few days. Don is still at Hill field, near Ogden. The seven month old baby of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Myers had the misfortune of falling off the bed and breaking his hip. The babe will be confined to his bed for three weeks. Former Bishop George H. Eyre is suffering from a broken rib and a fracture of another, incurred while he was helping his son Golden break a young work horse. The horse plunged forward, throwing throw-ing the father against the front (.f the wagon. Mr. and Mrs. John Hanson have their son and his wife home from California. He is on a furlough from duty with the armed services. ser-vices. Mr. and Mr. P. V. Howarth were happily surprised Tuesday of this week when their daughter Marian came home for a visit. She has been living at White Horse, Yukon province, Canada, scene of great activity in connection with the construction of the Alcan highway connecting the United States and Alaska. G. Carl Goodwin, L. D. S. bishop's counselor, returned the first part of the week from Salt Lake City, where he had remained for medical medi-cal attention following attendance at sessions of the spring L. D. S. conference. |
