Show $1600-Goal Gained In Red Cross Drive Milford Red Cross chapter reached its quota of $1600 in the i War Fund drive the latter part j of last week, according to O. C. Koch, faithful and hard-working drive chairman. J. F. Whistler, one of the local Union Pacific dispatchers, dis-patchers, with a contribution of $5.00, brought the fund to the $1600 mark. The drive has taken much more work than should have been the case, a large number of people seeming to think that it was little' more than the regular roll call drive, which was passed up last fall. Accordingly, they donated generally on the old basis, whilo the drive's objective called for a doubled or tripled contribution. Most contributors gave willingly, willing-ly, even gladly, feeling it a privilege privi-lege to do what they could on the home front while our boys are giving so much on the war front. Only one case of definite refusal stood out in the drive 'this the case of a young couple, both of whom are making good money.' Their refusal reportedly was based on some hearsay Red Cross incident inci-dent of World War I, but even at that, it is difficult for a person in his right senses to imagine any one much less two of this calibre in our community. But such there are! Assisting in the drive with Chairman Koch were the following follow-ing committee workers: Mrs. Roy Cottrell, Mrs. F. A. Bingham, Mrs. Alfred Horton, Mrs. Thomas Foss, Mrs. Donald Segerstrom, Mrs. Fred McKay, Mrs. J. R. Murdock jr., Mrs. G. C. Cuddy, Mrs. Rudolph Ru-dolph Nielsen, Mrs. Thomas Ger-rard, Ger-rard, Mrs. F. G. Stuck, Mrs. Sam Cline, Mrs. James Glenn, Mrs. J. F. Tribole, Mrs. Roy White, Mrs. Ernest Uren, Mrs. K. B.
