Show Mrs. Oscar Holbrook returned to her home in Salt Lake City Sunday Sun-day following a visit with her husband hus-band in Milford. She was accompanied accom-panied to the city iby Mrs. Ralph Cook, who will spend a few days there. Mrs. Lavern Patterson last week received word of the death in Nevada Ne-vada City, California, of her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Ambrose Patterson, 31, a native of Texas. Burial took place in Bishop, California. Cali-fornia. Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Firmage left Wednesday afternoon for National City, California, on receipt of word of the serious illness of Mrs. Fir-cage's Fir-cage's mother. Word of her death reached Milford shortly after their departure. L. D. McFadden returned Friday of last week from a ten days' visit with home folks at Brooklyn, Iowa. Mrs. McFadden was called to Beaver and spent the holidays and considerable time since then at the bedside of her mother, Mrs. R. M. Ashworth, bedridden from general dibility for some time, whose condition con-dition has been much worse. A number of friends and neighbors neigh-bors met at the home of Mrs. Rudolph Ru-dolph Nielsen Saturday afternoon to help her celebrate her birthday. The time was enjoyed playing bridge after which a delicious lunch, prepared by the hostess, was served to those present, who were as follows: Mrs. M. H. Pool, Mrs. Gene Kirk, Mrs. William Morris, Mrs. William Baker, Mrs. V. Waddoups, Mrs. J. M. Christen-sen, Christen-sen, Mrs. L. G. Clay, Mrs. William Cochrane, Mrs. Sam Cline, Mrs. George Moore, Mrs. Max Gillins, Mrs. William Carlson, Mrs. Robert Price, Mrs. Alvin Baker, Mrs. F. A. Bingham, Mrs. J. M. Williams, Wil-liams, Mrs. LaMar Outzen, Mrs. J. C. Smith, Mrs. E. R. Moody, Mrs. Clarence Grimshaw, Mrs. D. S. Williams, Mrs. Dave Heslington and Miss Sarah Pool. At bridge, first high points prize was won by Mrs. Moore, second high by Mrs. Kirk and the traveling prize by Mrs. Alvin Baker. Mrs. Nielsen Niel-sen received many beautiful presents pre-sents in honor of the event. |
