Show Milford Woman's Mother Passes Mrs. Phoqibe Alvira Clark Soder-berg Soder-berg Evans, 77, daughter of Utah county pioneers, mother of Mrs. J. R. Murdock jr. of Milford, and long a Salt Lake City resident, died Monday at 2:19 a.m. in a Salt Lake hospital of causes incident to age. Funeral services were conducted conduct-ed Wednesday at 124 Fourth East street by W. F. Bromley, bishop of the First L. D. S. ward, with burial in Mt. Olivet cemetery. Mrs. JWurdock had left last week to be at her mother's side and Mr. Murdock Mur-dock joined her there on Monday. She was born September 9, 1861, at Provo, a daughter of Edward W. and Elizabeth Ashby Clark, who were pioneers of the Utah county area. She moved to Salt Lake City more than 50 years ago and resided i at the home of a son, 863 East I Sixth South str'Tt, at the time of her death. Surviving are two sons, David Z. Evans of Salt Lake City and j Fred B. Soderberg of Sacramento, j California; two daughters, Mrs. ! Murdock of Milford and Mrs. Ionf I DeVries of San Francisco, California, Califor-nia, and six grandchildren. |
