Show Experimental Work At B AC Progressing Dr. R. N. Walker, director of the experiment station and dean of the school of agriculture at the Utah Agricultural college, has been in Cedar City the past few-days few-days consulting with Dr. Bell and Prof. Wayne Cook on the progress of the range and livestock experimental experi-mental work now in progress at Branch college. Dr. Walker states that he is well pleased with the progress made in the initiation of the experiments in range sheep management and breeding and the range center work, but cautions the general public that results from experimental work comes slowly and that several years are necessary for check and rechej-k work so that results will have a real significance. Dr. W'alker was particularly complimentary of the efforts of the livestock men of this area for their support of this work and urges all to become acquaint-! ed with the experimental program i here. ; Dr. Walker also has been check-, ing the work of the animal disease j laboratory located at the college, i He reports that Prof. Nielsen J laboratory technician, is running over 2000 blood sample diagnoses ; each day. Turkey raisers produc-1 ing eggs for hatching have come from all over the state to take ad- j I vantage of this service. It is estimated esti-mated that over 55,000 turkeys are being checked for disease at this laboratory. |
