Show FIRMAGE THEATRE i Friday and Saturday Entertainment of a gripping nature is offered at the Fir-mage I theatre iFriday and Saturday in "The Last Gangster" with Edward G. RoJbinson back in the type of role which first made him famous as one of the screen's foremosc character stars. In the new story of a notorious gangster whose1 ruthless criminal career is -brought to a close when he is sent to prison for ten years for income tax evasion, eva-sion, Robinson once again portrays his brilliant technique (ind consummate con-summate acting ability. The supporting sup-porting cast includes Rose Strad-ner, Strad-ner, James Stewart and Lionel Stander. A Popeye cartoon, a Metrotone news reel and the last issue of those interesting pictures of "America Marching On" also will be shown. "52nd Street" is based on a story which ranges from the springtime of 1912 to the swing-time of 1937. Its action unwinds along Manhattan's Manhat-tan's night-club thoroughfare and dramatizes its world-famous personalities. per-sonalities. Kenny Baker, sensational sensa-tional radio star, heads the cast comprising Ian Hunter, Leo Car-rillo, Car-rillo, Pat Paterson, Ella Logan, Sid Silvers, Zasu Pitts and a veritable veri-table army of night club enter-ta enter-ta iners, A Movietone news reel and a cartoon also will be shown. Tuesday and Wednesday Breezy in story, in movement and in the delineation of its characters, char-acters, "The First Hundred Years", coming to the Firmage theatre Tuesday and Wednesday, wins rating as one of 'the best-told comedy narratives of the season, timely, convincing and thoroughly entertaining. The comedy combination combi-nation of Robert Montgomery and Virginia Bruce is sure fire, Montgomery Mont-gomery never having been better than as the boat designer who can't persuade his wife, Miss Bruce, to give up her job as a theatrical agent to make a home for him. The supporting cast includes in-cludes Warren William, Binnie Barnes, Alan Dinhart, E. E. Olive-and Olive-and others. Chapter 4 of "Flash Gordon's Trip to Mars" and a comedy also will be shown. Thursday "Life Begins With Love" with Jean Parker. Douglass Montgomery, Montgom-ery, Edith Fellows, Leona Maricle, Lumsden Hare in the cast.
