Wilcox, Mrs. D. A. Baxter, Mrs. John Williams and Mrs. C. R. Parrish. .Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Murdock,, Mr. and Mrs. George Jefferson, Mr. and Mrs. Al Cline, Mrs Erma Gillies, Sam Cline, Harold Cline, Gordon Murdock, Darlene Cline, Dan Gillies and Raymond Cline had enjoyed a picnic in Miners-ville Miners-ville canyon. The Bee-Hive g'h'ls, under the supervision of Mrs. Rue Nielsen, Mrs. George Fernley, and Mrs. J. M. Kinney, "had gone to the Bee Hive home in Beaver canyon for a weeks outing trip. The prize offered by B. M. Prescott, traveling agent for the Union Pacific, for the best song whose words and melody were appropriate ap-propriate for Milford, was won by Mrs. U. Smithson Kesler of Milford. Mil-ford. The selection chosen was "When Its Springtime in the Rockies". Runners-up were Isa-belle Isa-belle Ruby Owen of Beaver with the song "Land of Hope and Glory," and Mrs. J. A. Raines of Milford, with the song "Lonesome Valley." Milford had defeated Richfield in a baseball game at Milford on Pioneer day, with a score of 18 to 16. Milford players were Root, Sdhow, A. Carter, Thiessen, A. Williams, Livergood, Hickmani Turner, Bean and L. Williams. The Misses Margaret Cochrane and Eva Coleman had entertained at a weiner roast for Eloise and Leonard Clark of Salt Lake City. Others present were Mr. and Mrs. Wilcox, Bill Cochrane, LuZene Jennings, Wallace Moore, Glen Stoneihocker, Alan Davis, Helen Carlson, Jack Patterson, Beth Coleman, and Rev. Homer Root. A deal was consummated whereby where-by H. M. Jennings had resigned from the managership of the Morris Mor-ris and Sons Feed store and became be-came an active partner with L. G. Clay in the Milford Auto company. com-pany. W. G. (Smoky) White, Union Pacific engineer, was building on a newly cpeJated subdivision on the south side of town. He was having two nice new bungalows erected and was making plans for a third one. Mrs. Joseph Tribole and three children had gone to Los Angeles .for a visit with relatives and friends for about 10 days. |
