Show With the Colors j Herbert McCulley, photographer's photograph-er's mate, third class, in Uncle Sam's navy, accompanied by his bride of a week, is up from California Cali-fornia for a visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. V. McCulley, and other relatives and friends. Herbert Her-bert enlisted in the navy some 15 months ago. His bride is the former Miss Shirley Harrison of Oakland, California. Jesse McCulley, Mc-Culley, a brother, 17 years of age, spent Wednesday with home folks before returning to Los Angeles, where he had taken the examination examina-tion as a naval enlistee. George A. Connell, water tender on one of Uncle Sam's cruisers, left Saturday for Salt Lake City, accompanied by his bride of a week, the former Eilleen Gillins, ' Senior high school student from j Minersville. She also accompanied him to San Francisco, making a 1 last minute decision to do so. j Word domes to local relatives j and friends that ' James Marvin (Jiggs) Ussery joined the army air forces March 19 at Fort Mc- ' Arthur. He is a brotherinlaw of Amos I. (Shorty) Jackson of South Milford and is. well known here, having attended school in j Milford for four years. v |
