Show Funeral Services Are Held Friday For Roy Baxter Funeral services were held Friday Fri-day afternoon of last week for Roy H. Baxter, 56, who died June 7 after an illness of several weeks. The services were in charge of Bishop's Counselor Alvin H. Baker and the speakers were County Clerk William A. Miller of Beaver and Miss Lucile Estes, deaconess-pastor deaconess-pastor of the local M. E. church. Musical numbers included a vocal duet by Mrs. F. E. Casterline ana Mrs. Grover Black, accompanied by Mrs. J. F. Tribole, and a solo by Dan Ferguson The opening prayer was offered by Joseph Manzione of Beaver and the benediction bene-diction by Bishop M. J. Christen-sen. Christen-sen. Interment took place in the Beaver cemetery. Roy H. Baxter was born November Novem-ber 2, 1881, at St. Paul, Nebraska, seventh child of Noah and Ellen Baxter. He came to Utah in 1900 and married Maud Denny. Three daughters were born of that marriage, mar-riage, Velma, Reva and Erma, ah of Salmon, Idaho. In 1917 he married mar-ried Delia Grimshaw and four children chil-dren were born of this union, Mildred, Mild-red, Ronald, Max and Gerald, all of Milford. In 1919, the family went to Nebraska to make their home, returning to Milford in 1936. Mr. Baxter had devoted his life to farming and mining. Surviving him are his wife, Del-la Del-la Baxter and the children named, also two two step-daughters am the following brothers and sisters. George, Charles and Ross Baxtei 'of Milford, Mrs. D. W. Lilly ot Dalkena, Washington; and Mrs. C. C. Gillespie of Durango, Colorado. Colo-rado. o |
