The horae, which ran into the fence, was so badly cut it bled to death. Milford Tent No. 10 of Maccabees Macca-bees had held an election of officers. of-ficers. Those elected were Harold Crawford as commander, 0. Stoker as lieutenant commander, Clarence j Grimshaw as record keeper, Miles White as chaplain, Dr. C. R. Parish Par-ish as physician, John Banks as sergeant, K. Hollis as master ol arms, L. Carter as first master ot guards, J. Sherwood as secona master of guards, H. Carlson as sentinel, and C. Rasmussen as picket. The following board of trustees was elected: For 18 months, H. Hai-ris; for 12 months. John Mortensen; and for 6 months. Miles White. A very delightful social event had taken place at the home of Mrs. S. S. Atkin, when the Wed- nesday Afternoon Bridge club haa given a shower for Mrs. George A. Atkin. Those present were Mrs. E. A. I The first steps toward organizing organiz-ing a fire company had been made at a meeting called by W. F. Cot-trell, Cot-trell, who was authorized by the town board to organize a volunteer volun-teer department. At a regular chamber of commerce com-merce luncheon, President H. C. Hunter had named the following committee for an Independence day celebration: Sam Cline, S. S. Atkin and Jas. Tanner. The Milford lodge of Odd Fellows Fel-lows had elected the following officers for the new term: Ted Kronholm, noble grand; William Elmer, vice grand; Harold Craw- ford, secretary; 0. F. Hubbell, treasurer; and J. Blumberg, trustee. trus-tee. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Hickman had I announced the arrival of a nine and a half pound baby girl, born June 12. A ball game between Provo and Milford resulted in a score of 4 to 12 in favor of Milford. Mrs. Scott Tanner and Mrs. Charles Miller had entertained at the home of Mrs. J. Weston with a shower for Miss Mayme Schow whose marriage to Frank Crooks-ton Crooks-ton of Delta, was to take place June 20. |
