OCC 1 2 .333 Fillmore 0 2 .000 Only a few local people had teen inclined to rate the Kanosh baseball team as a possible surprise sur-prise aggregation 'tfhat is, until the teams got to playing Sunday on the new Milford fair grounds ball park. But after Kanosh had scored two runs in their half of the first inning and shut Milford cut in their half the home fans began to sit up and take notice. Milford ran up an 8 to 3 lead over their opponents in the second to fifth cantos, thanks to heavy work with the willow on the part oi Turner, Steed, Horton and Johnson, John-son, the latter three of whom scored scor-ed home runs; but even that lead looked like it would not be enough when those Kanoshers combined with expensive error manufacturers manufactur-ers on the Milford team to reduce the lead to 10-8, where the score stood at the finish. Some very fine relief pitching on the part of Roy Coleman, plus an effective tightening tighten-ing up of the entire Milford lineup, were instrumental in maintaining the two-run lead to the end of a game that was intensely thrilling almost all the time. Delta beat the Antelope Springs C C C team 19-0 in a sort of track meet affair at Delta Sunday afternoon, after-noon, while Fillmore lost to Beaver 8-7 in a 10-inning game at the Millard capital after the Fillmore team had led the victors by a two-run two-run margin until the ninth inning. This coming Sunday was left as an open date in the league schedule sche-dule so there will be no league games. A picked team from Caliente Cali-ente will come to Milford Sunday, however, for a game that should be another thrilling affair. The game will be called at 3 o'clock.
