Show ORDINANCE NO. 28. AN ORDINANCE FORBIDDING FORBID-DING SOLICITORS, PEDDLERS, i HAWKERS, ITINERANT MERCHANTS MER-CHANTS AND TRANSIENT VENDORS OF MERCHANDISE FROM TRESPASSING IN AND UPON PRIVATE RESIDENCES WHEN UNIVTTED SO TO DO BY THE OWNERS AND OCCUPANTS OCCU-PANTS THEREOF, IN SOLICITING SOLICIT-ING AND ATTEMPTING TO SOLICIT ORDERS, OR IN SELLING SELL-ING AND EXPOSING FOR SALE WARES AND MERCHANDISE, AND DECLARING SUCH TRES-! TRES-! PASS IN ANY FORM TO BE A NUISANCE, AND FIXING THE PENALTY FOR COMMITTING SUCH NUISANCE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF MILFORD, UTAH: .Section 1. The practice of going in and upon private residences, in the Town of Milford, Utah, by solicitors, so-licitors, peddlers, hawkers, intiner-ant intiner-ant merchants and transient vendors ven-dors of merchandise, not having been requested or invited so to do by the owner or owners, occupant ; or occupants of said private resi-j resi-j dences, for the purpose of soliciting solicit-ing orders for the sale of .goods, wares and merchandise andor for the purpose of disposing of andor peddling or hawking the same, is hereby declared to be a nuisance, and punishable as such as a misdemeanor. mis-demeanor. Section 2. The Town Marshal j and the Police Force of the Town j of Milford are hereby required and j directed to suppress the same, and I to abate any such nuisance as is ! described in the first section of j this ordinance. .Section 3. Any person convicted i of perpetrating a nuisance, as de-! de-! scribed and prohibited in the first ! section of this Ordinance upon j conviction thereof shall be fined in . a sum not less than Ten Dollars, ! ($10.00), or more than Fifty Dol-! Dol-! lars, ($50.00), or by imprisonment in the town jail for a period of not I to exceed thirty days, or by both i such fine and imprisonment. ! Section 4. All ordinances and I parts of ordinances in conflict with j this Ordinance are hereby repealed. re-pealed. I Section 5.
