Show Anti-Soliciting LawSoon In Effect For only some ten days longer long-er will Milford residents be subjected sub-jected to the persistent solicitation of this or that peddler or solicitor for at the end of that time there will be in effect in Milford- an ordinance patterned after that passed in Green Rivex-, Wyoming, and which, later sustained by the United States supreme court, prohibits pro-hibits uninvited persons from doing do-ing soliciting of any kind. Under the new ordinance, which was strenuously urged by The News a few weeks ago and has now been passed by the Milford town board, the px-aetice of going in and upon private x-esidences -by solicitox-s, peddlers, hawkers, itinerant merchants mer-chants and transient vendox-s of merchandise, not having been requested re-quested or invited so to do by the occupant of such premises, is declared de-clared a nuisance and punishable as such as a misdemeanor, with appropriate ap-propriate -penalties attached.
