The annual Washington's Birthday Birth-day panty of Albert Pike Masonic lodge was given Thursday evening of last week at the local Masonic temple. A most enjoyable time was had by lodge members and their wives and partners. Mrs. Hal Norton was hostess to memibers of her sewing club Tuesday Tues-day of last week at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Smith. Those enjoying the evening eve-ning were Mrs. Fay Anderson, Mrs. Waldo Watts, Mrs. Clinton Bond, Mrs. Carl Goodwin,. Mrs. Carlyle Gronning and Mrs. Alf Horton. 17 i Mrs. John Pace of Moab, left' Sunday for her home, after a visit ' of two weeks at the home of her I daughter, Mrs. Paul D. Whiteside. The Whitesides recently purchased ; the home of Mrs. W. F. Cottrell, j who is now making her home in ; Provo with her daughter, Mrs. Lee Gray. Members of the Big Four Bridge club met at the home of Mrs. J. E. Moore Wednesday evening with Mrs. George Moore winning the prize for high points and Mrs. Harry Garfield for high honors, while Mrs. Glen Barnes received the consolation prize. Others present were Mrs. Fay Bradfield, Mrs. J. P. Holm, Mrs. Ronald Banks, Mrs. Grover Cuddy and Mrs. Vem Shingleton. Mrs. Harry Brown entertained Thursday of last week at a bridge party. Those present were Mrs. Robert Schram, Mrs. Jack Weston, Mrs. Ashley Workman, Mrs. Glen Brown, -Mrs. Hal Norton, Mrs. John Matthews, Mrs. Grant Mel-lor Mel-lor and Mrs. Robert Bottom of Salt Lake City. The prizes at bridge were received by Mrs. Norton for high points and Mrs. Mellor for high honors, while Mrs. Glen Brown received the consolation consola-tion prize. 'Menvbers of her bridge club met with Mrs. Freda Outzen at her home Thursday night of last week. Those present were Mrs. Eugene Pitchforth, Mrs. Dick Jones, Mrs. William Morris, Mrs. D. N. Hickman, Hick-man, Mrs. Glen Barnes, Mrs. J. S. Rickerson and Mrs. Kenneth Hol-lis. Hol-lis. The prizes at bridge were re. ceived by Mrs. Morris for high points and also the traveling prize, and Mrs. Pitchforth for high honors, while Brs. Hickman received receiv-ed the consolation prize. Mrs. Zola F. Williams was hostess host-ess to members of her bridge club and guests Saturday evening of last week. Those present were Mrs. Ben Hillman, Mrs. K. B. Coon, Mrs. Dell McDonald, Mrs. Harold Cline, Mrs. Robert Burger, Mrs. Lloyd Kohler, Mrs. George Jefferson Jeffer-son and Mrs. Rudolph Nielsen. The two high score club prizes were won by Mrs. Burger and Mrs. Coon, while Mrs. Jefferson and Mrs. Nielsen received the two high score guest prizes. Mrs. J. C. Smith was hostess to members of the Monday Night Bridge club and guests February 26. Those enjoying the evening were Mrs. William Cochrane, Mrs. J. M. Hughes, Mrs. Rudolph Nielsen, Niel-sen, Mrs. David S. Williams, Mrs. M. H. Pool, Mrs. E. L. Smith and Mrs. J. H. Weston. The club prize was awarded Mrs. J. C. Smilth, while Mrs., Cochrane received re-ceived the high points prize, Mrs. Williams the high honors prize and Mrs. E. L. Smith the guest prize.! Mr. and Mrs. Dick Johnson were host and hostess to members of the Couples Five Hundred club at their home Tuesday evening. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Roldo Turner, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Tomsik, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Chris-tensen, Chris-tensen, Mr. and Mrs. Willis Whit-beck, Whit-beck, Mrs. Clyde Griffiths and Mrs. Max Root. The women's prizes were received by Mrs. Tomsik Tom-sik and Mrs. Turner, while the gents' prizes went to Mr. Turner and Mr. Whitbeck, and Mr. Chris-tensen Chris-tensen received the traveling prize. A group of women met at the home of Mrs. Dan James Friday, February 23, to help her celebrate her birthday. A delicious chicken supper was served, assisted by her daughter, Mrs. J. P. Holm, and Mrs. A. H. Connell. Monte Carlo Whist was played with Mrs. William Wil-liam Morris winning the first prize, Mrs. Connell the second prize and Mrs. Dan Stewart the. consolation prize. Others present were Mrs. James Lang, Mrs. An-tone An-tone Johnson, Mrs. R. B. Colborn, Mrs. Vem Shingleton, Mrs. Mary-Ellen Mary-Ellen Workman and Mrs. 0. R. Smith. Mrs. James received many-lovely many-lovely gifts from her friends. Mrs. Catherine Crosby entertained entertain-ed a number of women at a birthday birth-day party Monday night, honoring her mother, Mrs. Eugene Pitch-forth. Pitch-forth. Those present were Mrs. J. P. Holm, Mrs. Arthur Connell, Mrs. Vern Shingleton, Mrs. Glen Barnes, Mrs. J. S. Rickerson, Mrs. William Morris, Mrs. Dick Jones, Mrs. D. N. Hickman, Mrs.- James Smithson, Mrs. 0. R. Smith, Mrs. Sylvestia Munk, Mrs. Ross Palmer. Mrs. George Moore, Mrs. I. Alt-man Alt-man and Mrs. Gene Pitchforth jr. Bridge was played during the evening, eve-ning, the prizes being won by Mrs. Palmer for high points and Mrs. Rickerson for high honors, while Mrs. Altman received the house prize and Mrs. Munk the consolation prize.
