V'al Yepsen was the new local manager for the Bonneville Lumber Lum-ber company, succeeding Mac Johnson. Mr. Yepsen had had charge of his company's business at Lynndyl for two years and the Y'epsens had come to Milford to make their home. Mrs. George Stanley of Heber had been the motif for a delightful delight-ful card party at the home of Mrs. N. C. Schow. Those present were Mrs. James Lang, Mrs. M. H. Pool, Mrs. Antone Johnson, Mrs. Karl Levi, Mrs. Fred Levi, Mrs. Walter Wleber and Mrs. Eph Smith. Mrs. Myron Lewis had entertained entertain-ed with a delicious dinner in honor of the ninth birthday of her son, David. Covers were laid for eight. A bit o' the blarney was indicated in the cast of characters for the play, "The Absent-minded Bridegroom", Bride-groom", to be presented under the auspices of the American Legion and its Auxiliary. Those chosen to take part were Leroy Luken, Leonard Bowen, Dave Heslington, C. E. Grimshaw, Mrs. Lamar Out-zen, Out-zen, Mrs. Dave Heslington, Mrs. Forti and Mrs. Tom Johansen. One of the biggest home talent shows ever to be presented in this community was to be given under the auspices of the local B. P. W. club. One hundred and fifty people peo-ple were to be in the cast, including a baby pageant with over a hundred hun-dred children between the ages of three and eight. "Aunt Lucia" was the name of the play and those in the cast included Ray Caster-line, Caster-line, Wallace Morris, Charles Faulkner, Bessie Killam, Erma Gilies, Mae Kohler, Mrs. Dean, Rue Nielsen, Henry Bowman, Wayne Richards, J. M. Andrew, Mrs. Jones, Harold Holloway, Julian Tate, J. O. Andrews, and Buddy Gillies, Mae Kohler, Mrs. Dean, Rue be the college glee club, portrayed portray-ed .by 18 business men, the famous flapper chorus, consisting of 28 business men who portrayed famous fam-ous college girls, ,a girls chorus and also special numbers. i Myles R. White, Milford foreman fore-man for the Telluride Power company, com-pany, had returned from a trip to San Francisco, where he had at tended the annual regional convention con-vention of Frigidaire salesmen an'd dealers. Fifteen little friends had helped help-ed Jimmie Sherwood of Minersville celebrate his twelfth birthday. |
