Show Cavalrv Still Potent Military Factor It was thought for awhile the horse in war was a back number. The U. S. army never acknowledged that theory, and events in Russia, where Cossack cavalry continued to counter-attack when snow and intense in-tense cold immobilized tanks, seem to indicate that cavalry is still to be reckoned with.
