The order putting the new rates into effect was signed by all three members of the commission Ward C. Holbrook, chairman; O. A. Wiesley and Walter K. Granger. The commission explained that the present reductions are "in no sense final", as further adjustments adjust-ments may be made after the completion of an inventory and reclassification re-classification of accounts. However, How-ever, as a result of an informal investigation ty commission engineers en-gineers and accountants, who spent several months checking books and records of the company, it was decided the reduction just made would be justified. "The commission is convinced from this information", the order said, ".that pending the completion of the inventory and reclassification reclassifica-tion of accounts and the final determination de-termination of a definite fair value of the properties of the Telluride Power company used and useful in the service of the public, the com-I com-I mission is justified in ordering certain rate reductions". The commission ordered further that "the company file with the commission a schedule for irrigation irriga-tion pumping, canceling the present pre-sent flat rate schedule and providing pro-viding rates revised downward for users having an unfavorable loan fator, effective for the 1939 irrigation irri-gation pumping season. The company also was ordered ' to complete its inventory and re- classification not later than Oc-' Oc-' tober 1, 1939, and begin immedia- tely on depreciation studies. |
