Show Provo Man's Bid Low On School Job Vernon Tolboe of Provo, his offer $120,800, was the successful bidder for the extensive construction construc-tion and remodeling program soon to be undertaken in Beaver county by the county board of education. As a PWA project, 45 of the total cost of the program will come from federal sources as a' free grant. Bids were opened and considered Monday at a special , meeting of the board and work must begin by September 19 if the bid is approved by San Francisco headquarters of the Public Works administration. Other bids given consideration by the board included the following: follow-ing: Tolboe-& Tolboe, also of Provo, Pro-vo, $123,700; Christensen & Gardner, Gard-ner, Salt Lake City, $128,700; James J. Burke & Co., Salt Lake City, $129,551; and Vincent & Peterson, Pet-erson, Salt Lake City, $132,310. Included in the construction program pro-gram is the erection of a new gymnasium and shop building for Milford, for which some $62,000 is allocated. A lesser amount will be used at Beaver in remodeling and adding to the old Belknap elementary element-ary school and the construction ol a shop building. . . |
