Show Miss Rczetta Koch left Thursday Thurs-day for Colorado Springs, Colorado, Colora-do, where she has employment. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas James are rejoicing over the arrival of a baby girl, bora Tuesday, April 19. Prank Whitlock of Mayfield, uncle of Mrs. Ross Palmer, has been visiting here the past week. Milford was well representee among the thousands attending the sunset Easter services at Zion park Sunday, 12 or 15 carloads ol local people having made the trip all being amply repaid for doing BO. Mrs. Grover Black entertained her bridge club Wednesday night with Mrs. A. A. Mclntyre receiving receiv-ing the high points prize, Mrs. Fayo Bradfield high honors prize and Mrs. Ray Mills consolation prize. Others present were Mrs Harold Cline, Mrs. Clarence Grim-shaw, Grim-shaw, Mrs. Ralph Cook and Mrs. Ross Palmer. Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Borg oi Salt Lake City visited in MilforS Sunday with Postmaster J. C. Root, a friend of long standing. Mr. and Mrs. B. T. Walker and children Friday motored to Delta where they spent a couple iof days with the George Morris family former residents of Milford. Miss Zelda Whitlock, who has been a guest at the Ross Palmer home the past minth, will return to her home in Mayfield Friday with her father. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Peterson of Nevada City, California, arrived ar-rived in Milford last week ,to visit Mrs. Peterson's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Jefferson. Mr. Peterson Peter-son returned home Thursday hut Mrs. Peterson will stay for awhile with her mother who has been ill L. A. Saunders, publishers of the Emery County Progress at Castle Dale and former for-mer publishers of the Milford ana Beaver papers, visited 'briefly in Milford Sunday on their return from a trip to Zion park. Handbills advertising the 1938 Senior Hop of the Milford high school have been printed and distributed dis-tributed with a view to having as large an attendance as possible at this big sccial event, which will be featured with spot dances and a prize waltz. Mrs. George Rodgers was hostess host-ess to the Five Suit Bridge club at her home Tuesday night with Mrs. J. M. Williams winning the club prize, Mrs. J. M. Hughes . house prize and Mrs. D. S. Wil-' Wil-' Hams consolation pvize. , Others ' present were Mrs. Gene Kirk, Mrs. J. C. Smith, Mrs. J. A. Weston and Mrs. M. H. Pool. Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Nelson ol Los Angeles were in. Milford the first of the week for a visit with .friends. Mr. Nelson was founder I and manager of .the Valley Creamery Cream-ery and resigned the position oi ccunty commissioner when he disposed dis-posed of his business holdings and ! moved to the coast. Mrs. Nelson I is the former Juanita Miller, I daughter of County Clerk and Mrs. William A. Miller of Beaver. The Big Four bridge club met at the home of Mrs. Grover Cuddy Wednesday ewening. Those present pre-sent were Mrs. J. C. Jeffers, Mrs. IB. E. Hutchins, Mrs. Ray Mal- I strom, Mrs. George Moore, Mrs. Wilson Moore, Mrs. J. H. Hanlon. I Mrs. Lloyd Lee and Mrs. Robert I Price. Mrs. George Moore was the winner 'of the high points pnzf i and Mrs. Hanlon the high honOTS ' prize. The American Legion Auxiliarv held a social party Monday nigh? ' at the heme of Mrs. Nettie Kirk. The committee included LaPriei Lewis, Selma Carlson, Kate Joseph and Nettie Kirk. Bridge was played during t;he eVening -with Kate Joseph winning the prize for high .points, Saraessa Baker for high honors and Magdalina White ' consiclation.
