Show : Play To Be Presented "A Prince There Was," comedy drama in three acts, will be presented pre-sented in the L. D. S. recreation hall Friday evening, April 29, and a real treat is promised lovers ot home dramatics. The play is being be-ing presented by the Mutual Improvement Im-provement associations . of the Milford ward with J. C. Root di--recting. The play, written by George M. Cohan, is the story of a weallhv yi.ung man who, after the death of his wife and little girl, is discouraged dis-couraged with life and decides there is no future. He is wasting his time and dissipating his wealth and opportunities while his friend tries to offer a chance to reform. Pursuaded to do so by a little orphan or-phan girl, he visits a New York boarding house and his experience with people from all walks of life makes him realize there are a great many things in life to reform re-form and live for. The cast includes Phillip Carlisle Car-lisle as Bland. William Tiibde as Charles Martin, Alton Harris as I Jack Carruthers, Sherleen Gillins as Comfort Brown, Margaret Han-Ion Han-Ion as Miss Vincent, Virginia Ryan Ry-an as Mrs. Prouty, Cerola Iles-lington Iles-lington as Gladys Prouty, Carroll Jfhnson as Mr. Short, Theo Za-briskie Za-briskie as Kathcrine Woods, Janr Hickman as Mr. Criche.t, Jack Grimshaw as Eddy and Vern Christensen as Messinger. |
