Show RAILROAD NEWS By MRS. G. L. GRIBBLE (Phone 164-J) Mr. and Mrs. Ferral Lish and daughter, and Mr. and Mrs. D. C. Holbrook and daughter, motored to Salt Lake City this week. They stopped overnight in Provo to visit .Mrs. Lish's sister. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Bradshaw and children, Jay, Carol Jean and Bonnie Bon-nie Lou, spent the week-end in Beaver visiting their parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Bradshaw and Mr. and Mrs. Cy Osborne. While there they attended the funeral of Harriet (Edwards and her son, Mr. Ruben Edwards. Mrs. S. E. Pitchforth entertained her sewing club last Thursday afternoon. aft-ernoon. Those present were Mrs. Albrecht, Cora Jones, Jess Frazier, Bertha Hickman, Myrtle Tribole, Edna Baker, Inez Tanner, Vern Patterson and Annis Openshaw, The hostess served a delicious two-course two-course luncheon at 4:30. Mrs. Norma Aagard entertained her pinochle club this week. Those present were Gladys Bird, Norma Edwards, Noma Bradshaw, Margaret Mar-garet Lund, Maurene Miller, Vera Waite, Alma Sly and Roma Carlton. Carl-ton. Norma Edwards won high-score high-score prize, Gladys Bird second high and Margaret Lund consolation. consola-tion. The hostess served a dainty two-course luncheon at 11:30. The guests presented her with a lovely gift. Mrs. W. L. Carlton and daughter daugh-ter Ellen returned from Salt Lake City. Ellen has been receiving medical treatment. Mrs. Lloyd Lee entertained her Big Four bridge club. Those present pres-ent were Mrs. G. C. Cuddy, Mrs. Vern Shingleton, Mrs. George Moore, Mrs. Edgar Moore, Mrs. Ronald Banks, Mrs. Harry Garfield, Mrs. James Holm. Mrs. Shingleton won honors prize, Mrs. Banks, points, and Mrs. Holm, low. Mrs. W. A. Smith of Salt Lake City has been visiting at the D. B James home this week. Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Jensen have a new baby girl. Mrs. Jensen has just returned from Gunnison. Mrs. C. E. Leech gave a birthday dinner for her house guest, Carolyn Magill, and for Mrs. Berger. Dorothy Dor-othy Campeau was a guest. Mrs. Charles McCulley entertained enter-tained her Five Hundred club last Thursday. Those present were Helen Leech, Louella Fisher, Verna Tomsik, Margaret Lyman, Olive Young, Lucy Reese. Seldona East-on, East-on, Dee Ferguson. Lcla Gillam and Lillian Atkin. Velma Patterson was a guest. The party also was in observance of Lucy Reese's birth anniversary. She received many lovely gifts. |
