Show Red Cross Names New Field Worker Announcement of the resignation resigna-tion of Mrs. Mabel E. Axline os Red Cross field representative for the state of Utah is made from Pacific area headquarters of the organization in a communication received from San Francisco this week by Mrs. I. L. Kelly, chairman chair-man of the Milford chapter. Mrs. Axline has been transferred to the position of hospital field representative, rep-resentative, which work will take her to the army and navy hospitals hos-pitals throughout the midwest and Pacific areas. As her successor, headquarters announces the appointment of Nyles Christensen of Manti, formerly for-merly agricultural inspector for the state board of agriculture and more recently land appraiser for the Federal Land bank, then district dis-trict supervisor for the Utah Rural Rehabilitation corporation. Mr. Christensen is a native of Utah. He has his B. S. degree in agricultural economics from Utah State Agricultural college and has taken post-graduate work in social science at the University of California. Cali-fornia. Mr. Christensen has already al-ready taken up his work in his new office and it is felt that he is eminently qualified to be of assistance as-sistance to Red Cross chapters in Utah. As such, there is asked the same cordial and helpful cooperation coopera-tion that was already accorded his predecessor. Lrtah has been a bright star in the firmament of the Red Cross family, the letter adds, and is is deemed a privilege to help in maintaining the fine record which the state has attained in its Red Cross development. |
