Show M New Water Tower Fast Taking Form With all the equipment now on the ground, work on Milford's new water tower and auxiliary supply tank is making fast headway head-way so fast, in fact, that local people are kept in constant wonderment won-derment at the feats of the staff of structural steel workers who are working on the job. The tower and tank, formerly located at Laurel, Montana, were purchased recently by Milford town authorities under arrangements arrange-ments with W. T. Davis, steel construction e n g i n e e ir,, under whose direction the Laurel structure struc-ture was dismantled, to be rer assembled at the local site, directly direct-ly west of the present tank. The matter of transporting the huge tower and tank pieces from Montana Mon-tana to Milford has been handley by W. R. Martin, local garage man, under contract with the town. The base of the "catwalk", located lo-cated at the top of the tower, is 85 feet from the ground, and the I new tank, of 92,000 gallons ca- pacity, will have its base within the area encompassed by the "cat-1 walk." The present tank has aj capacity of 100,000 gallons, so, with the added tank in operation, Milford will have nearly doubfe i its present storage capacity. Also, water users on the "bench" will thus be afforded ample pressure for all purposes, which has not been possible except with opera-1 tion of booster equipment, which has entailed considerable expense . for power. i M |
