Show Mrs. J. E. Wilson and son Ernest Er-nest of Cedar City, former residents resi-dents of Milford, . were Wisiting local friends Saturday and Sunday. Sun-day. Mr. and Mrs. William Murry of Richmond, California arrived in "Milford Sunday for a visit of a few days with the Oakley Nelson family. Mrs. Murry is the mothe of Mr. Nelson. Recent births at the Milford hospital included baby boys born to Mr. and Mrs. Alma Miller on Septemlber 26; to Mr. aind Mrs. Harold Fitch, September 26 and to Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Robb on October 4. Mrs. William Cochrane returned return-ed home Tuesday from a visit of several weeks with her daughter, Mrs. Robert Cheatham and family at Los Angeles, and her son and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. William Cochrane, at Walnut, California. Mrs. Glen Barnes entertained members of her bridge club Wednesday Wed-nesday evening, September 29. Those present were Mrs. William Morris, Mrs. J. S. Rickerson, Mrs. Hollis, Mrs. 0. R. Smth, Mrs. Freda Outzen, Mrs. Gene Pitch-forth Pitch-forth and Mrs. Dick Jones. Prizes were received by Mrs. Barnes, Mrs. Hollis, Mrs. Rickerson and Mrs. Smith. Mrs. Mary Jane Edwards spent the week-end in Milford, visiting at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. L.Kesler. On her return re-turn to Davis, California, she was accompanied by her father. Mrs. Edwards is employed at Sacramento Sacra-mento by the Southern Pacific railroad. Her husband, Pfc. Del-Trert Del-Trert L. Edwards, is attached to an army signal corps unit at Davis. Members of the Lady Firemen organization held their regular meeting and social last Friday night, at which time a party was given for Mrs. Phyllis Humble. Bridge and "500" were enjoyed during the dienintr with Mrs. Kay McDonald, Mrs. Eva Banks and Mrs. Margaret Menion winning the prizes at bridge, and Mrs. Emma Griffiths, Mrs. Vera Waite and Mrs. Ruby Ashworth receiving receiv-ing the prizes at "500". After cards refreshments were served by a committee consisting of Mrs. Lucy Reese, Mrs. Lillian Fother-ingham Fother-ingham and Mrs. Josephine Kil-lam. Kil-lam. A beautiful gift was presented pre-sented to Mrs. Wilma Weston from members of the lodge. 17 |
