Show 55,000 Men Will Get Call In April Between 55,000 and 60,000 men will get a chance of coming into the CCC during the new enrollment enroll-ment period, April 1 to 20, but there will be an equal number who will be turned down, according to figures of the Department of Labor, La-bor, which reports some 125,000 men already on the waiting list for CCC selection. Enrollment for the eleventh six-month six-month stretch will be to fill the corps to 200,000 men, 25,000 of whom will be war veterans. There will be 1501 companies, which, under a recent act of Congress, will be cut down to 1200 July 1. The Ninth Corps Area, which includes Washington, Oregon, California, Cali-fornia, Nevada, Idaho Montana, and a. small portion of Arizona, with 290 work projects, will continue con-tinue as the leading corps area in numbers of companies at work. |
