Show 4-Star Educational Program The educational ideal for the C C C is summarized in the "Four Star Program." The fundamental idea is that all activities should be based on the needs and interests of the men in the camps. The first activity, therefore, is a thorough, comprehensive and effective counseling coun-seling and guidance program for all enrollees in camps. In the second sec-ond place, in order to achieve a Four Star rating, it is necessary to have each member in the camp enrolled in at least one academic course, one vocational course, one job-training course, and one organized or-ganized informal activity. This year, the Washington office is particularly interested in . improving im-proving the following phases ot the educational program: (1) The construction of an adequate educational educa-tional building in each camp; (2) the strengthening of the teaching forces in each camp; (3) the improvement im-provement of instruction methods; (4) the enrichment of instruction content; and (5) better relations with nearhy schools, colleges, and other agencies able or desirous ot providing better opportunities for enrollees. |
